Wheelchairs need to face complex usage environments and long-distance international transportation, so anti-rust, anti-corrosion and scratch resistance are essential core performances of qualified products. The surface spraying treatment process is the key to improving the outdoor adaptability of wheelchair frames. Our factory adopts a complete set of industrial-grade surface treatment procedures, including pre-treatment derusting, degreasing, phosphating, drying and electrostatic powder spraying, abandoning the simple single-layer painting process used by ordinary small factories. Before spraying, all polished frames are sent to the pre-treatment workshop for multi-stage chemical purification. Firstly, the ultrasonic oil removal tank is used to clean the oil stains, dust and metal debris on the frame surface generated during welding and polishing; then the acid washing solution is used to remove the natural oxide layer and rust spots on the metal surface to ensure that the metal matrix is completely exposed.
After acid washing and degreasing, the frames will be put into the phosphating tank for surface phosphating treatment. A dense and uniform phosphating protective film is formed on the metal surface through chemical reaction. This film can effectively improve the adhesion between the metal frame and the spray coating, and avoid the paint layer from peeling off due to temperature change and friction. After phosphating, the frames are sent to a constant temperature drying oven for dehydration and drying to ensure that there is no moisture residue on the surface, preventing bubbles and peeling of the spray coating caused by residual moisture. The whole pre-treatment process is strictly controlled by temperature and time parameters, and each processing link has special personnel responsible for sampling inspection to ensure consistent treatment effect of all frames.
After completing the pre-treatment, we carry out high-quality electrostatic powder spraying. The imported environmental-friendly powder coating is selected, which has the characteristics of non-toxic, tasteless, weather resistance and aging resistance. The intelligent electrostatic spraying equipment makes the powder evenly adsorbed on the frame surface through high-voltage electrostatic technology, with uniform coating thickness and no dead angle spraying. Then the frames are sent to the high-temperature curing oven for constant temperature baking and curing, so that the powder coating is firmly combined with the metal matrix. The cured coating has excellent scratch resistance, waterproof performance and corrosion resistance, which can resist rain erosion, sunlight exposure and salt spray corrosion. In addition to the conventional black, silver and gray standard colors, we also support customized color spraying according to customer requirements, including personalized matte color, bright color and LOGO color matching.
