Welding is the key process to determine the firmness and bearing limit of the wheelchair frame. Unqualified welding points are the main hidden danger of frame fracture and structural failure. In order to ensure the welding quality of each frame, our factory has fully upgraded the welding production line, eliminating the traditional manual arc welding with unstable welding quality, and introducing a large number of automatic argon arc welding robots. The intelligent welding system is equipped with constant current power supply and precise welding trajectory programming, which can realize continuous and stable welding operation for frame welding joints. Different from manual welding that is easily affected by human fatigue and operation experience, welding robots maintain consistent welding current, welding speed and welding angle throughout the production process, ensuring that each welding point has uniform weld width, sufficient welding depth and dense internal structure without air holes, cracks and slag inclusions.
We formulate targeted welding schemes according to different frame materials. For lightweight aluminum alloy frames, low-temperature argon arc welding technology is adopted to avoid material oxidation and deformation caused by high temperature; for high-carbon steel heavy-duty frames, high-strength welding wires are matched to enhance the tensile resistance of welding joints. Each welded frame will undergo primary visual inspection by welding technicians to screen out products with unsmooth welds and missing welding. After primary inspection, all frames will enter the polishing process. We adopt a combined processing mode of mechanical rough polishing and manual fine polishing. The mechanical polishing equipment quickly removes excess welding slag and prominent weld marks, while experienced senior workers conduct fine polishing on sharp edges, welding joints and dead corners that are difficult to process by machines.
The multi-stage polishing process completely eliminates sharp burrs and sharp edges on the frame surface, preventing users from being scratched during use. After polishing, the surface of the welding joint is smooth and integrated with the metal pipe body, which not only improves the overall aesthetic grade of the wheelchair, but also enhances the pressure resistance and toughness of the welding position. The optimized welding and polishing process effectively improves the overall safety of the product. After repeated fatigue tests, the polished welding joint can withstand long-term vibration and heavy pressure without fracture. In addition, we conduct random sampling destructive tests on welded frames every day to detect the tensile limit of welding points, and continuously optimize welding parameters according to test data. This mature and stable welding polishing system enables our wheelchairs to maintain excellent structural stability in complex use scenarios, which is an important reason why our products are favored by medical institutions, rehabilitation centers and global bulk purchasers.
